The largest collection of food related links and database of food companies.
Food Company Database
One of the aims of World-of-Food is to construct the largest, reliable and up-to-date database for companies in the food sector, including large and small companies, ingredient suppliers, suppliers of equipment and more.
The database will be fully operational by November 2007.
Registration is already possible from October 12, 2007 by using the registration form.
Registration to our database will be 20 Euro/year per company. We do ask this fee for a number of reasons :
- no annoying banners and advertisements in the database and therefore no preferred ranking for companies that pay for advertisements (there are no Google advertisements in the database part !
- a small fee keeps the database clean from fake companies which often happens with free databases
- the database will be kept up-to-date; companies will regularly get reminders to update the information
- company information is fully protected, the database is only accessible for members, which avoids skimming of data by unwanted parties
Registration for 2007 is free, the first payment will be for 2007 and 2008.
The Food Company database is run by the Food-Info association and EFFoST, both are non-profit organisations. All profit of the database will be used for improving the database, Food-Info.net site and public awareness on food products, food safety and healthy foods.
All registered companies will also be linked at the public part of the site with their website by product commodity.
The database is fully searchable on all fields, making it easier to find a supplier or a company in the field or country of interest.
